The Group is engaged in the full-range synthesis and analysis of a wide variety of advanced nanomaterials including one dimensional nanotubes and nanowires made of inorganic compounds, like nitrides, borides, cabides and sulfides, and detailed analysis of their atomic structures and properties. The special attention is paid to the high-yield world-first synthesis of ultimately pure Boron Nitride nanotubes, their fuctionalization and making novel materials out of them, in particular, nanotube-loaded polymer films/fibers with enhanced mechanical properties and thermal conductivity._]l T
