Job description: Applications are invited for graduate-students/research-assistants/postdoctoral/research-scientist/senior-research-scientist/research-assistant-professor positions in the areas of theoretical and computational chemistry/biophysics/material-science/condensed-matter-physics. In particular, exceptional and experienced candidates interested in method and code development are invited to apply. Interested students are also encouraged to apply for the PhD program in Dept of Chemistry, Dept of I-Bio Program, or Dept of Environmental Science. The research in the Center for Superfunctional Materials is predominantly focused on the use of computational methodologies in the design and development of novel bio- and nanomaterials. Thus, knowledge of ab initio theory, DFT, CC theory, EOM, NEGF transport theory as well as some experience in f computational packages like GAUSSIAN, MOLPRO, NWCHEM, MOLCAS, VASP, WIEN, CPMD, AMBER, ChARMM, or bioinformatics and drug design tools would be useful. On an average, Ph. D students can expect a fellowship of $13,000 /year, postdocs a fellowship of $28,000/year, and research professors a fellowship of $36,000/year. Apart from the salary being tax-free, housing is nearly free (only utility charges have to be paid). Exceptional candidates can expect higher salaries. The center has several computers, Linux clusters and also has access to supercomputers in Daejon.
